Romeo and Juliet Broadway Production Channels The Big Screen

Hello Lovelies!! Would you believe that I'm snowed in for the day? BOOOOOOO!!! Gotta love that New England weather. I must admit I have had enough of the cold frigid air. I guess one good thing about this weather is that it's the perfect temperature to drink hot chocolate and cuddle with my HoneyBunny. Speaking of cuddling with the one you love, do you have plans for Valentine's Day?

One of my favorite things to do with my Huby is dinner and a movie. Now I'm not much for "Chic Flicks", but I love a good classic film--particularly of two star crossed lovers. So you could imagine how excited I was to hear that the Broadway production of Romeo and Juliet was going to be in theaters this weekend. YAY!!! Just in time for Valentine's Day. I remembered hearing about the production on Broadway and that one of my favorite actors (and heartthrobs) was starring in it as the love-strucked Romeo, but was so bummed I didn't make it to see it live. So hearing that I can see it now on the big screen closer to home just made my Valentine's Day plans much sweeter!! For never was a story of more woe than this of Juliet and her Romeo!

Below you can find information about the screening as well as where and when it is showing in your area. I for one will be watching it with my true love and I hope you check it out to. Let me know if you go and cheers to a sweet and very romantic Valentine's Day!!

If you missed Broadway's hottest couple, Orlando Bloom and Condola Rashad, in their limited engagement of Romeo and Juliet on Broadway, now is your chance to see it on BroadwayHD.

Orlando Bloom (Pirates of the Caribbean, The Lord of the Rings) and two-time Tony Award® nominee Condola Rashad (Smash, Sex and the City 2) turned up the heat this fall as Broadway’s rule-breaking, heart-aching couple, Romeo and Juliet. Jealousy. Prejudice. Betrayal. And the chance that true love could actually conquer all. It could only be the greatest love story of all time, and, for the first time in over 36 years, it played live on Broadway in a stunningly modern production from five-time Tony® nominee David Leveaux. The acclaimed cast of 25 included Tony Award® winners Brent Carver (Kiss of the Spider Woman, Sleepy Hollow), Chuck Cooper (Law & Order, American Gangster), two-time Tony® nominee Jayne Houdyshell (Follies) and Christian Camargo (The Hurt Locker, Dexter).

It has received acclaimed-reviews, including this from the New York Times: “Mr Bloom in a first-rate Broadway debut and the gifted Rashad exude a too fine for this world purity that makes their characters’ love feel sacred.” In addition to Bloom and Rashad, the cast includes Christian Camargo (The Hurt LockerDexter), Justin Guarini (American Idol, American Idiot), Tony Award winners Brent Carver (Kiss of the Spider Woman, Sleepy Hollow), Chuck Cooper (Law & Order, American Gangster), and two-time nominee Jayne Houdyshell (Follies). Romeo and Juliet was captured for cinema on November 27 at New York’s Richard Rodgers Theatre by the multiple, Emmy award-winning Don Roy King (Saturday Night Live).

Dates: In theatres February 13-19
