Hello Lovelies and Happy Friday!! Did you see the Superbowl Game last Sunday? Crazy wasn't it? I mean I've never seen a Superbowl game go like that. Between the Bronco's Defense making mistakes and the Seahawk's Offense charging down the field, it was surprisingly quite the disappointment to watch. Let's be honest though, most of us weren't really watching the Superbowl just because we like football--or the fact that it was the last game of the season, right? Of course not! It was all about the Halftime Show baby and man what a show it was! Pepsi out did themselves once again this year and had one of the best performers rocking the stage. Who was it? None other than the fabulous Bruno Mars himself!! Not to mention the Red Hot Chili Peppers joining him on stage. Yeah, I'd say the show was pretty much a success all around. Especially Bruno Mars and his band's ensemble. Did you see that chic blazer he was wearing? Allow me to refresh your memory.

Word on the street says it was the latest gold metallic blazer from the Saint Laurent Spring/Summer 2014 collection. Would you believe this bad boy goes for as much as $3,000?! The cheapest I found it for women sizing is a whopping $737.00!! Um...yeah that is way out of my budget. Don't get me wrong, I LOVED Bruno Mars' get up and if I had the money I would be on that blazer like white on rice. No pun intended, but while my wallet is not as gold laden as say some, the look is not impossible to replicate. At least I'd like to say I could put my own spin on it.
Here is a bit of inspiration on how I would accomplish the Bruno Mars look for my feminine side. This blazer is a great find at Loft. The black lapels and gold sheen give it a similar feel to the Saint Laurent look for a fraction of the price. It is also a bit more wearable for those days when you just want to have a little shine at the office. BLING, BLING!! Bruno Mars always has at least one statement ring with his outfits so this gold cocktail ring from Forever 21 is the perfect accessory to your dainty fingers. A skinny tie on a crisp white collared shirt, some sleek slacks and your choice of heels or flats ties up the two snap joint!
Of course if you wanted to "feminize" the look even more, I'd say twist it around and wear a hip hugging skirt with attached suspenders. Top it with this gold jacket from NastyGal and throw on some black pumps for a hot vixen meets the office look. I'd like to think Bruno Mars would appreciate this get up on his lady friend. (WINK, WINK)

So there you have it, my take on the Bruno Mars Superbowl Halftime look. If you ask me, that was the best part of the game. I'd say he made a touchdown with his golden member.....A-hem, I mean golden look. ZOW-WEE!!!
