Hello Lovelies! A few weeks ago I attended my first IFB (Independent Fashion Bloggers) Conference in the fabulous NYC. It was at the start of NYFW and needless to say there was plenty of chic-ness to go around! Between the panels, brand experiences, and impeccably dressed bloggers the day was truly filled with many smiles, laughter, and finger snaps!
Upon entering the conference, I was immediately greeted by the bright colors of the bareMinerals table. On display was their new Remix: Turn Up The Color collection. Bold colors for spring with a touch of whimsy? Count me in!
I stepped right up for a mini makeover and walked away with the same products they used to create my doll face. If that wasn't the bees knees both of the lovely ladies giving the mini makeovers were also named Erin. Coincidence? I don't think so! :)
Throughout the day I got the honor to spend it with an amazing blogger, friend, and just out right chic (and super sweet) red-head. Alexandra of She is Red was my hangout buddy and I am sooo happy I met her at the LuckyFABB conference last year. She is one of the most sweetest, warm hearted people I know and I am looking forward to more blogger outings with her!
Next to the colorful bareMinerals display booth was MailChimp offering knitted monkey hats and fun chimp printed T-shirts to DIY. I didn't go too crazy with the bedazzler but studs did make it onto mine. I'll have to post an OOTD with it soon.
The brand experiences continued with the great hairstyling of the Fekkai booth, offering touch ups throughout the day. Alex and Ani displayed a table of bangle love, perfect for stacking and their photo booth was a true riot! We had so much fun we went in it twice!
IFB was filled with many surprises and one that I will never...EVER forget is when supermodel Tyson Beckford popped up at the Monster booth. Everyone was swarming around him with their cameras and grins from cheek to cheek.
It was a little intimidating at first seeing him standing there in all his handsome features. It took me a while to muster up the courage to ask him for a picture. I was so nervous I didn't know what to do with my hands so I threw both of my arms around him and clenched on tight. Believe me when I say the whole action wasn't planned...really! ;)
Between the ten minute breaks to enjoy the brand experiences, informative panels graced the stage of the loft auditorium. From affiliate marketing to ways to increase longevity for your blog, the tips were endless and guest speakers inspiring.
The IFB Conference is definitely something every fashion blogger should go to at least once. It's a great way to network with other bloggers and come to know how brands interact with them. I'm looking forward to the next one!
