I received an email from H&M a few weeks back saying they were having a 4th of July sale where they would be handing out discount scratch offs to the first 100 customers at the local mall. I skipped, shrieked, and then marked my calendar in much anticipation. Independence morning I don't know how I did it but I managed to get up, get myself and daughter ready and made it in time to stand in line. There were only about 20 or so people in front of me so that made me feel good knowing that I was one of the 100 customers.
At 10:00 on the dot, the store gate opened and out came one of the cashiers handing out scratch offs. In my hand she placed one and smiled at me (did she know something I didn't know?). I wasn't sure what my discount would be and at that moment I didn't care. Whatever discount it was, it meant that I would be buying something at a lower price. That was all that mattered to me. Walking into the store I began to scratch off my discount card. First there was a "5". I thought okay so I'll get $5 off my purchase. Still good, but then I scratched off a "0". Oh...my....It was $50...my discount was $50 off any purchase of $75 or more...$50!!! I was going to get $75 worth of clothing for only $25... at H&M!! I was stoked!! I couldn't believe my luck. All right enough with the chatter, let me show you my goodies!!
I love the simplicity of this gray dress and the cinching in of the belt at the waist. The cut is ultra flattering and price was divine. The material of the dress reminds me of a lightweight ultra suede giving the dress a more sophisticated look and feel.
This bronze silky top was an "accidental" purchase in that it was the last thing I saw before I checked out. I wasn't sure if I would like it, but when I got it home, it literally went with so much in my closet. The fabric is smooth and it flows over just about anything.
I loved the little peek-a-boo at the top of the shirt with the tie. I can see myself wearing this VERY often.
I saw this dress and thought I just had to have it. The dusty blue flowers along the blush is such a sweet combination. At $15, it was even sweeter! It is a sheer dress, but with a nude slip it is absolute perfection.
This navy polka dot cardigan was another steal at $10. I really wanted a patterned cardigan and this one was right up my alley.
Whenever I see sweaters that I like on sale off-season, I like to buy them and put them away for the colder season. To me you can't go wrong with a neutral sweater and a pop of color.
Every girl needs a casual LBD for the summer, so when I saw this I just had to get it. At $7.00, this boat neck dress with a draw string at the waist was the perfect fit.
I love flutter shirts in the summer so this one could not have been cuter. The floral detail is whimsical and colorful.
With all the money I saved I even managed to squeeze in some simple studs to match my lovely articles.
I also bought my daughter a cute little dress to wear for the fireworks show that night. My closet and wallet thanked me for waking up early and I was pretty darn happy to be able to shop til I dropped... figuratively speaking.
