Earlier this month my sister from another mister held a fabulous jewelry party. Have you heard of Stella & Dot? If you have then you know how excited I was to see all the sparkly jewelry. If you haven't then let me tell you about the chic accessories offered at their site. Even better how you can get some arm candy and eye catching pieces of your own.

This summer there are lots of palatable trends going around for the art of styling. From High-Low hemlines and floral prints to pastel nail polishes and neon accents, summer is filled with delectable styling options anyone can enjoy. One trend that I have been loving and implementing every day in my fashion get up has got to be the easiest if not the most fun to do. I can wear it everyday, it goes flawlessly with every outfit, and it has the be the sweetest dessert I can enjoy with zero calories.

This weekend my husband and I took our daughter to the local zoo since entrance for all of us was free. Saturday entertainment with animal know how for the kiddie and a relaxing, non-wallet draining time for the parents. It was an offer we couldn't refuse, a win win situation. The weather was beautiful with clear blue skies and delectable temperatures, so the opportunity to spend the day breathing it in couldn't have come at a better time. Since we were going to be outside most of the time, I wanted to wear something that I not only would be comfortable walking around in but felt pretty enough as to not blend in with the exhibits. There would be no wearing of animal print today...

Happy Friday lovelies! We are hours away from our sweet serenity!! I for one am already at peace now that my closet has stopped shouting at me for an outfit pairing. Remember the "Zebras Crossing" scarf from my last post? Well, I finally created an outfit that I deemed worthy of the red light special. I wanted to have a bit of fun with the scarf and needed something that not only suited for my closet's satisfaction but myself as well. With the zebra print, it was none other than Safari time...

Hello lovelies! We have reached our final destination. Well not our 'final' destination, but our relaxing one. THE WEEKEND!!! Are you excited? I know I am, especially now that I have the scarf of my dreams. Okay, let's be realistic, one of the scarfs of my dreams. :) A few weeks ago I have become obsessed with searching for the perfect red scarf, and not just any red scarf but THE red scarf of a lifetime. The red scarf that would take flight on its own around my neck, caressing it with the upmost of fashion bliss. A scarf that said, "Hey, I am here..."

A few weeks ago ModCloth was having their "Cheers to the Future: Name it and Win it" contest. It consisted of giving a name to one of the dresses they posted up online. You were able to write three name options and if they picked one of your names you won that particular dress. For five straight days they posted a different dress on different platforms such as their blog on Monday, Twitter on Tuesday, and so on. By the time I heard about the contest it was Day 3, a dress posted on their Facebook page. The dress was modestly sweet. It had a scalloped neckline, bow in the front, and it was the cutest shade of Lavender. It had a very Cinderella meets MadMan feel to it. I absolutely loved it.

On my experimental journey with color, I am finding that bright colors are not the enemy. Neither are patterns. For the longest time I told myself that I couldn't put these two things together because they would be too bold, too daring. Okay, I didn't really tell myself that, but for a while I was terrified that if I tried it someone would look at me and think what on earth was I wearing. I mean I see people mix color and pattern all the time in magazines, on the streets, that horrible reality TV show I will never admit that I watch and they look fine. The question was though, could I pull it off and feel good about wearing it. So I decided to take the plunge, an experimental quest to search my closet and put an outfit pairing together.
